During the first day of your 8-day tour from Tangier to Marrakech, we will meet you at the port of Tangier then cross the Rif Mountains and Tetouan City enjoying the magnificent views of the mountains until we reach Chefchaouen, Morocco’s “Blue Pearl at the top of the Rif Mountains. Chefchaouen’s Medina has a Spanish-style square, surrounded by many funky arts and crafts shops on the roof, restaurants, and cafes. Stroll through its colorful streets and enjoy lunch in the central square. In the afternoon, continue to Fes for an overnight stay in a traditional riad.
Embark on a guided tour of Fes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities. Visit the vibrant tanneries, Al Qaraouine University, and the Moulay Idriss Mausoleum. Wander through the bustling medina and experience panoramic views of the city.
After breakfast. We will head south towards Ifrane, with its European architecture, and then we will visit Azrou as beautifully surrounded by the largest Cedar forests in Morocco. We will continue via the middle Atlas Mountains to Midelt, where you will enjoy a traditional lunch. Crossing Tizi n Talghemt pass, we will descend into a desert plain along the Ziz valley, stopping for panoramic views to Erfoud ( known for fossils and yearly festival dates market), we arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon, you’ll be greeted with a glass of mint tea before you start your camel ride to enjoy a romantic view of the sunset and spend a night in the desert camp with Berber music under shining stars after having dinner.
Today you will visit the best of the Merzouga desert, with its black volcanic rocks, passing through small villages, where we will stop to listen to some Saharan Music in Khamlia village. In addition to that, we will visit nomads who feel so happy to share their lifestyle with the visitors. Depending on what time of year you visit, you may have a visit to the seasonal lake of Merzouga (Dayt Sriji Lake). Following this, you will visit Rissani to explore its large souk, ksours, and kasbahs, have a traditional Berber pizza for lunch, you will also have the option of an ATV tour in the dunes. The night is spent at the hotel at the dune line.
After breakfast, you meet up with your driver and then depart to Erfoud, which is known for its fossils and geology, we drive through beautiful palm tree groves before stopping for lunch and a short walk in the stunning Todra Gorge. A stream runs through the center of the impressive rocky gorge, and you will abe mongst local gardens and towns.
After a walk, we head on to our stopping point Boumalne Dades, where we relax and have dinner in a hotel.
After breakfast in the hotel, we will travel through the Dades Valley towards Kalaat M’gouna and Ouarzazate. This route through Dades Valley is the way of the thousand kasbahs. We will visit the Cinema city of Ouarzazate and also Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah (the UNESCO heritage site), the largest Kasbah in Morocco, built by T-Hami El Glaoui. Then we will drive across the High Atlas mountains, you will enjoy the panoramic view and attractive Berber villages along the way till we reach Marrakech where we stay overnight in a local hotel/riad.
Discover the cultural treasures of Marrakech with a local guide. Visit iconic landmarks such as the Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, and the Koutoubia Mosque. Stroll through the Majorelle Gardens and the bustling souks. End your day at Jemaa el-Fna Square, enjoying the vibrant atmosphere.
Depending on your departure schedule, we’ll ensure a timely transfer to the airport or your preferred location in Marrakech.
