During these 5 days in Morocco, you will cross roads, valleys, kasbahs, gorges, dunes, and villages with history.
We will pick you up from your riad/hotel around 8:30 AM to start your 5-day tour from Fes to Marrakech, and travel to Merzouga, stopping in different places to capture their beauty.
The first stop will be in Ifrane, known as Morocco’s Switzerland, built by the French in the 1930s.
Next, you will head to Azrou, where you will stop to enjoy the view of the Cedarwoods and meet the friendly wild monkeys.
Next, continue to Midelt, where you will enjoy a delicious lunch break before driving through the breathtaking Ziz Valley, with its vast palm groves and panoramic landscapes.
By late afternoon, you’ll arrive at Erg Chebbi dunes, have dinner, and overnight, stay at the hotel with a pool to relax for the first night.

Wake up to a beautiful desert morning and enjoy breakfast at your hotel before starting your tour through the Merzouga region.
Your first stop is Khamlia, a small village known for its Gnawa music and culture. Here, you’ll visit Dar Gnawa, where you’ll have a cup of mint tea, and enjoy their traditional spiritual music.
Next, you’ll take an off-road drive through the dunes, stopping to visit a nomadic Berber family living in tents. This is a great opportunity to learn about their simple lifestyle, traditions, and how they survive in the desert. You’ll also visit Mefis, a hidden abandoned village.
Following lunch at a traditional restaurant. return to your hotel to rest and prepare for your next adventure.
In the late afternoon, ride camels to watch the sunset over the dunes and try sandboarding for a bit of fun. Upon arrival at the desert camp, you’ll be welcomed with mint tea before settling into your private tent.
Enjoy a traditional tagine dinner, followed by live Berber drumming music around the campfire, as you watch the stars and the rising moon in the amazing Sahara desert.

Get up early to watch the spectacular sunrise on top of a dune, after that enjoy a breakfast in the camp, before riding camels or taking a 4×4 back to the hotel.
Today, you’ll travel through Rissani, Erfoud, Tinghir, and the Todra Gorge, making stops to take pictures and learn about local culture and traditions. If today is a market day in Rissani (Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday), you will have the chance to visit the traditional Moroccan souk, where locals trade handicrafts, spices, and fresh produce.
Upon arrival at the Todra Gorge, a spectacular series of limestone canyons near Tinghir, you will have lunch at a local restaurant and free time to walk through the gorge.
In the afternoon, continue your route to Dades Valley, where you will check into your hotel or riad. Enjoy a delicious dinner and a relaxing evening in this beautiful valley.

After breakfast at the hotel in Dades Valley, continue your journey along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, going through beautiful Berber villages with breathtaking landscapes.
Your next stop is Kelaat M’Gouna, known as the “Rose City”, famous for its rosewater products and annual Rose Festival. Here, you will visit a local cooperative where rosewater and natural beauty products are made, with an opportunity to buy some, if desired.
From there, you’ll travel through the palm groves of Skoura, a veritable oasis with date palms and historic kasbahs. Visit the Kasbah Amredile, a beautifully preserved kasbah that offers insight into traditional Berber architecture and daily life in the desert.
By evening, you’ll arrive in Ouarzazate, where you will check into your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, begin your day with a visit to the Atlas Film Studios, the largest film studio in Africa. Here, you’ll see props, sets, and materials used in famous movies filmed in Morocco.
Next, head to the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, one of Morocco’s most famous and well-preserved fortified villages. This ancient mud-brick ksar has been featured in over 30 Hollywood films and television series, like Game of Thrones and Gladiator. Take time to explore its maze-like alleyways, climb to the top for stunning panoramic views, and learn about its fascinating history.
After exploring Ait Ben Haddou, begin your journey back to Marrakech, crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260m). Stop for lunch at a local restaurant along the way and take in the breathtaking scenery of Berber villages and green valleys.
By evening, you’ll arrive in Marrakech, where your 5-day tour from Fes to Marrakech via Merzouga comes to an end.
