At 8 AM, your driver will pick you up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech to begin your 5-day tour from Marrakech to Merzouga in a private vehicle. You will head toward Ouarzazate, crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi Ntichka Pass at an altitude of 2,260 meters above sea level. Along the way, you will admire breathtaking landscapes, with varying colors and small Berber villages, making stops for photos.
Your first major stop will be the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1986 and a filming location for movies such as Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, and Game of Thrones. After exploring the Kasbah, you will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the desert. Here, you will check in to your hotel for the night.

After breakfast, you will continue your journey toward the Sahara Desert, following the Road of 1000 Kasbahs. As you drive through the colorful villages of the Agdez and Nkob, you will take in the beauty of the surrounding landscapes.
Upon reaching Rissani, you will experience the gateway to the Saharan oasis before arriving at the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. From here, you will take a camel ride through the desert, enjoying the magical sunset as you make your way to the camp. Your overnight stay will be in a traditional nomad tent, where you will also enjoy a delicious dinner under the starlit sky.

Wake up early to witness a wonderful sunrise over the dunes before having breakfast. Afterward, you will ride your camel back to the hotel for a refreshing shower before starting your excursion around Merzouga.
You will visit Hassi Labied village and its lush palm oasis, irrigated by traditional water canals. Next, you will head to Khamlia, a village inhabited by descendants of Malian immigrants, where you will enjoy a cup of tea while listening to a live performance of the spiritual Gnawa music.
Later, you will explore the local market in Rissani and, if you wish, try an exciting ATV quad biking or buggy ride in the dunes (not included in the tour price). In the evening, you will return to your hotel or riad in Merzouga for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will leave the Sahara Desert and stop in Erfoud, known for its fossilized stones. The journey continues along rivers, oases, and ancient kasbahs until you reach the Todra Gorges. These dramatic red rock canyons, carved by the Todgha River, offer a scenic walk along the oasis.
In the afternoon, you will travel to the picturesque Dades Valley, also known as the Valley of Figs. Passing through Boumalne Dades, you will arrive at your hotel, where you will spend the night.

On the final day of your 5 days desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, you will drive alongside the Valley of the Roses, passing by Kelaat M’Gouna, famous for its rose festival, and the palm groves of Skoura. Upon reaching Ouarzazate, you will visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, the former residence of the Glaoui Pasha of Marrakech. If you are interested, you can also explore the renowned cinema studios and the film museum (optional ticket 15$).
After lunch at leisure before crossing the High Atlas Mountains once more, arriving in Marrakech by evening.

To confirm the 5-day tour from Marrakech to Merzouga or activity, we kindly require a small deposit to be paid via PayPal or Wise, the outstanding balance is due in cash at the pick-up of your tour, to our driver in Dollars or an equivalent sum in Euros or dirhams.
Normally we ask for the balance payments in cash because PayPal also has many transaction fees and operational delays since it’s an international institution. We can in some cases accept the full payment via PayPal however a 5% fee will be applied to cover the extra transaction charges. In case you are considering this method, it is best to arrange the payment before the tour.
For a full refund, cancel at least 10 days in advance of the start date.
