10 Days Trip to Merzouga From Marrakech

The guided tour includes; visit of Koutoubia mosque, Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs where you will be impressed by the decoration and crossing the Jamaa El Fna square, a tourist attraction. In the afternoon, visit the surroundings of the city, the Menara Gardens with olive trees, the medersa Ben Youssef and the Majorelle Gardens ( botanical gardens of the painter French Majorelle Jacques). A night with breakfast at the hotel/riad.

Today we continue our 10 Days Trip to Merzouga From Marrakech, drive through the Tizi-n-Tichka pass 2260m high offering impressive views of valleys, mountains and many Berber villages nearby to reach Ait Ben Haddou kasbah, UNESCO world heritage site, where many international films have been shot(Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, Game of Thrones,…). Leaving the kasbah to Ouarzazate to visit Atlas Film Studios and Tourirte kasbah. We’ll continue towards the Roses valley, famous by the annual Festival of roses. Once we arrive in Dades we stay here in a local hotel.

Our 11 day Tour from Marrakech continues and drive towards Todra Gorge, where we may walk in the narrow canyon. It is famous for hikers. Then we drive through Ziz valley to reach Erfoud, known by its palm trees plantations and fossils expositions. We continue to Rissani, where we visit local souk (famous in the area). Then we drive towards the desert, to reach Merzouga, from where we start our camel trekking into the desert dunes with an experienced camel guide. We reach Merzouga camp where we stay overnight in desert tents. You will enjoy desert dinner and Berber music around the campfire. This night will be amazing and you will never forget your stay in Merzouga desert.

This day will be spent exploring the Merzouga desert attractions. You’ll get a chance to do your own thing, with the option of camel trekking, or exploring via the comfort of a 4×4, we’ll also visit the Khamlia village famous for its music. We simply can’t miss the opportunity of appreciating the sunset behind the dunes of the bewildering Sahara desert. We spent the night in a hotel in Merzouga area.

After fetching an early start to watch the sunrise in the desert. Drive towards Fes via the charming Ziz valley with thousand palm and olive trees, and Midelt and the Cedar forest inhabited by monkeys, crossing the plateau of the middle atlas characterized by beautiful Berber villages. Along the way, we will visit the mountain town of Ifrane, known as Switzerland of Morocco and then Fes, where we stay overnight in a local hotel.

After breakfast, we will begin our guided tour of Fes, the most ancient city of the Imperials, founded by Idris I (789). This tour will include the medieval medina, the ancient Medersas Attarine and Bounania, the El Qaraouine mosque, the Moulay Idriss Mausoleum, and the Tanneries, then to the interesting blue and golden three Royal gates. After our optional lunch, we will continue to Fez Jdid (new Fez), and return to the hotel for overnight.

Today we drive from Fes to Chefchaouen, located in the Rif Mountains. Explore Chefchaouen medina and spend the night in a local hotel/riad.

After breakfast, we will drive to Rabat, capital of Morocco, to explore its main attractions and sights. After lunch, we continue to the largest city in Morocco, Casablanca where we’ll spend the night.

Today, we will visit the main attractions and monuments in Casablanca including the Hassan II mosque, before ending our private 10 days in morocco.
