5 Days Tour From Fes To Marrakech Itinerary

Viajes Morocco driver, will pick you up from your riad/hotel around 8:30 AM to start your 5 day tour from Fes to Merzouga desert, travel to Merzouga, along the way, we will stop in different places to capture their beauty.
The first stop will be in Ifrane, known as Morocco’s Switzerland, built by the French in the 1930s.
Next, you will head to Azrou, where you will stop to enjoy the view of the Cedarwoods and lovely monkeys. Following this, as we have lunch in Midelt, we will keep going through the Ziz Valley with panoramic and beautiful views of the palm trees, the green valley in the middle of the Sahara until we arrive to Erg Chebbi sand dunes, dinner and overnight stay at the hotel with a pool in Merzouga to relax for the first night of your 5 Days tour From Fes to Marrakech.

Today, we’ll start our Merzouga excursion to explore the desert region and the marvel that is the Erg Chebbi desert dunes. As you have your breakfast, we will drive to Khamlia, a small village inhabited by Black people coming from South African countries, to visit Dar Gnawa to share with them a cup of mint tea and to listen to their spiritual music, continue through an off-track road to have a tour of the sand dunes then stop to visit some nomads in their tents to experience a part of their daily life activities before heading to Rissani to have a traditional Berber pizza for lunch.
After lunch, we will drive back to the Merzouga hotel to get some rest before riding the camels to explore the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, enjoying a marvelous sunset and spend the night in the desert camp. We will have a traditional tagine dinner, listen to traditional Berber music while watching the stars and the rising moon in the amazing Sahara desert.

Wake up early to see the spectacle of the sunrise when the color of the dunes and the play of shadows are an awesome sight, we will have breakfast in the Desert camp before riding the camels or by 4×4 back to the hotel for a shower. Then, we depart towards Todra Gorge, which is a series of limestone river canyons near the city of Tinghir, via the valleys of Touroug, Goulmima. As we reach the beautiful Gorges of Todra, you will have lunch in a local restaurant and free time to explore the Gorges before leaving to Dades Valley where we will spend the night.

After having breakfast at our hotel in Dades Valley, we will travel through the road of thousands Kasbahs, where nomads still live in caves, here you will have a chance to visit one of these families that are still living a simple life to know about their culture. Next, we’ll stop at Kelaat M’Gouna, “the rose city”, where you can purchase the rosewater. Before driving through the palm groves of Skoura to visit the Kasbah Amredhyle. We will arrive in Ouarzazate in the evening for dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

After breakfast, we will visit the Taourirt kasbah, before driving to Ait Ben Haddou, to visit its famous and oldest kasbah (UNESCO world heritage site). More than 30 movies including Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and Indiana Jones were filmed in that fortified village. Free time to have lunch.
We continue our trip through the breathtaking scenery of the Tichka pass to Marrakech where our 5 days Fes to Marrakech desert tour via Merzouga ends.
